Schnebly’s Winery – Miami’s first, unique Winery

Florida is known for a beaches, parties, crupted politicians, and senior citizens but now thanks to Schnebly’s winery we may just be also known for our exotic tropical fruit wines. Schnebly’s Winery is located apporxiamtely 45 minutes south of Miami International Airport in the heart of the Redlands, Florida. Their estate is gorgeous and boasts some of the best exotic tropical fruit wines you’ll find in the South. Water falls, tiki huts, and a great house surround the winery. Lychee, Mango, and Passion Fruit are some of the popular floavors of wine on the list. Other exotic flavors include Sweet Avocado (picture above), CocoVino and Carambola (Starfruit) wines. Yes, that’s right, Sweet Avocado wine, you have to try it. In my humble opinion Avocado wasn’t made for wine, but worth the try. For about $10.00 you’ll be able to sample up to five wines and take home a souviner wine glass. There’s no admission price and if you really want to make a day of it bring your picnic basket, family, friends and designated driver. Trust me after a tasting you’ll want to buy a bottle and hang out there for a while, food comes in handy after the fourth glass of wine. Friday’s and Saturday’s are their live band and karaoke nights, with plenty of space  to dance and mingle.

Aside from wine Schnebly’s also recently started brewing their own craft beers! Beer tastings are available, I highly recommend the Mango and Passion Fruit Beer.  On a road trip to Key West, stop by Schnebly’s Winery and try a sampling. Want to take your date to a romantic spot, Schnebly’s will definitely win her over. My first time at Schnebly’s was amazing, I didn’t want to leave unfortunately they close at midnight on Friday’s and Saturday’s. I love wines and have tasted some of the rarest wines in Mendoza, Argentina and when I tasted the wines at Schnebly’s I was definitely pleased. Schnebly’s a great place to relax, enjoy some exotic wine, and try something off the beaten path.
